Located in the peaceful and charming area of Kalamaki, in the Chania region of Crete, our apartments offer the perfect balance between relaxation and island life. Just 120 meters from the beach, you’ll find soft sand and crystal-clear waters, while nearby traditional tavernas, cozy cafés, and the laid-back Cretan atmosphere invite you to slow down and truly unwind. Kalamaki is a place where mornings begin with the sound of the sea, and evenings are filled with golden sunsets and the flavors of Mediterranean cuisine.
The story begins with a journey.
Alex and Elina are a creative couple who have traveled to more than 55 countries around the world. Along the way, they found inspiration in the smallest details — the textures of Morocco, the minimalism of Scandinavia, the warmth of Bali, and the urban aesthetics of European cities. Over time, a vision was born: to create a space where every detail tells a story.
Alex is a professional photographer, naturally drawn to light, composition, and mood. He shaped the visual identity of the apartments, ensuring every corner feels aesthetic, balanced, and alive through the lens.
Elina is a professional makeup artist and stylist, with a refined sense for textures, colors, and comfort. She brought softness, harmony, and that subtle feeling of “home” into every detail of the interior.

Together, they created EL CHACHA — a place where design meets comfort, and where every element is inspired by real experiences from around the world. Nothing here is accidental; every line, color, and texture has been thoughtfully chosen.
EL CHACHA Apartment and EL CHACHA Studio each have their own character, yet share the same philosophy: to offer not just a stay, but the feeling of discovering your own home in Crete.

Both places are self-catering and set up for real life: a full kitchen in the Apartment, a kitchenette in the Studio, fast Starlink internet, air conditioning, and free parking at the door. The beach is 120 metres away. Tavernas, cafés and the Old Town of Chania are a short walk or a short drive.
